About MM Studios
MM Studios is a high-end collaborative co-working space that gathers some of Ireland’s leading creative artists in the beauty industry. These artists are all freelancers, operating independently and determining their own terms and conditions, including working days at the studio and payment arrangements.
MM Studios exclusively operates by appointment, and bookings are managed individually with each team member. Please refer below for services offered and corresponding booking/contact links.
Meet the Team
Michelle Montgomery
Founder of MM Studios
Michelle Montgomery, a skilled Make Up Artist, boasts 15 years of experience since graduating from Dun Laoghaire Senior College with qualifications in Beauty Therapy and Theatrical and Media Make Up.
Her career has flourished, encompassing work with renowned brands like Mac, Armani Cosmetics, Smashbox, Dior Cosmetics, and Inglot. Transitioning to freelance work in 2014, she established a strong reputation in Dundrum, leading to features in publications such as Confetti, RSVP, Stellar, VIP, and the RTE Guide. Michelle has also contributed to TV programs including SKY, TV3, Xpose, Saturday Night with Miriam, and The Late Late Show.
She continually hones her skills, becoming a sought-after Semi-Permanent Brow Technician in 2015. Notably, she received awards at the Irish Wedding Awards in the “Freelance Hair and Makeup” category in 2017 and subsequent years, highlighting her excellence in bridal work.

Rachel Acton
Make Up Artist and Brow Technician
Rachel embarked on her makeup journey in 2012, armed with a Theatrical & Media Make Up Artistry qualification. She honed her skills as a Senior Makeup Artist at Inglot Cosmetics for three years and later moved to Brown Sugar in 2015. While there, she contributed to events and photoshoots for magazines, beautifying several well-known Irish individuals.
Transitioning to freelance work in 2019, Rachel became part of the MM Studios team in 2020, offering an array of services including Makeup, HD Brows, HD Brow Sculpt, and LVL treatments. Specializing in bridal makeup, she extends her services to various locations to cater to brides on their significant day.

Shannon Nugent
Transformation Hair Specialist
For 18 years, Shannon Nugent has been dedicated to the hair industry, gaining extensive training from L’Oréal. She served as creative director at Foxy Chopper Waterford for a decade, followed by representing Ireland for L’Oréal.
As a trendsetter, she showcased upcoming styles and hosted events like the L’Oréal colour trophy nationwide. Shannon’s expertise led her to become a colour specialist and global brand ambassador for FarmaVita, focusing on Italian colour products. Shannon’s priority is hair health, and she’s committed to educating her clients for optimal hair care, offering an exclusive one-on-one experience. Her services include tailored blondes, hair health, cutting, and styling.

Lou Merryweather
Bridal and Commercial Hairstylist
Since entering the bridal styling industry in 2017, Lou has become known for her meticulous attention to detail and dedication to using top-quality products. Her work is influenced by various talented bridal stylists in Ireland and beyond, as she constantly seeks to learn and stay updated on trends. Lou not only aims to enhance the beauty of brides but also strives to make their wedding day morning enjoyable and stress-free.
She has expanded her expertise to educate other professionals. Overall, Lou’s journey is marked by her commitment to excellence and creating a familial, comfortable atmosphere for her clients.

Dr. Michelle Rockingham
Aesthetic Physician
Dr. Michelle Rockingham, our Resident Aesthetic Doctor, graduated from University College Dublin in 2004. With prior experience as a pharmaceutical medical advisor, she engaged in cancer treatment trials in Ireland. This led her to further training at the Royal College of General Practitioners in London, specializing in injectable treatments.
Leveraging her pharmaceutical background, she prioritizes safety and ethics in aesthetics. With over six years of experience, she excels in anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, and medical-grade skincare, aiming to enhance patients’ natural beauty and well-being. Michelle also consults for Allergan, a global leader in aesthetic products. Monthly clinic sessions are held at MM Studios.
